Anarchy in the USA

NOT - It's strange to see that the USA is not capable to handle the impact of Katrina. There is no water, no food, no medicine and no nothing! People are looting shops, fighting and shooting at eachother and the police. It's a complete anarchy and people are dying there just because G.W. Bush can't do a thing about it. We can get aid to any place on this globe within 24 hours and the USA just can't do the job and saving the people of New Orleans from dying...

Sounds cruel but the people in the USA dont have anything left in some cases they even lost their families and houses and everything they have. I think I should be president of america.

hey Euro-trash it has nothing to do with money. the evacuation plans are piss poor, and the flooding just stopped yesterday. people were trapped on their roofs and in their attics. no water, food for 3-4 days. You cant eat money. The food and water is there. but people are stuck in places they cant reach. some of the flooding is 19 feet high.

New Orleans is in deep shit because it's in the middle of a big fucking swamp and most of the city lies below sea level. Anarchy is ruling the streets because too many stupid niggers ignored the order to evacuate the city before the hurricane hit. Postulating that Bush isn't doing anything about it puts the submitter 2 pegs below the mental capacity of a stupid nigger. The United States is prohibited by the Posse Comitatus act to use active duty military personnel for law enforcement purposes. So those persons serving in Iraq would have NO effect if they weren't there. Further, the people who are "stuck" in New Orleans now were told, encouraged, and BEGGED to leave town days before the storm hit--and they were given every opportunity to BE evacuated. They chose not to. This has nothing to do with government and everything to do with people who aren't smart enough to take care of themselves and their families.

What about the fact that the highest percentage of representation of any branch of the military is.... wait for it.... NATIONAL GUARD...

Except in times of war, the National Guard is not under the direction of the President directly. Instead, it is under the direction of the Governors of each state. The President, at any time, can choose to mobilize the National Guard but cannot use it for law enforcement purposes if it is mobilized as an active duty force. Regardless of how you feel about the President, this is NOT something you can blame on him, at least solely. Also blame the Presidents of the last 229 years for not acting to make sure that New Orleans did not have levees sufficient for a 500-year storm. Blame the people who were too shortsighted to leave. Natural distasters happen, and they happen everywhere.

As far as trying to blame people who stayed..... these are the poor, elderly, etc.. they had no means of leaving. there are some that had the means but were dumb for staying also. i can speak from personal exp living on the coast of FLA. when the govt tells you to leave, they dont force you, and they DO NOT PROVIDE THE TRANSPORTATION.

So all you dutch assholes--if you were told to leave your city would you ride out on your bike with the shirt on your back?

Here's a great article published in Scientific American back in 2001. It goes into great detail of why New Orleans was a ticking time bomb. It's fucking eerie how prophetic it was.

It's a tragedy and the aid provided to help people is coming way to late and is not adequit to cover all the huge problems right now. The fact that some of you take this as an opportunity to lash out to Europe, doesn't even surprise me. America is the country that forces itself upon the whole world, claiming to make things better and help everybody out and you can either help them or you're labelled as an enemy. But it turns out they can't even solve a serious problem on their own turf. But real Americans like Woppy and Uncle wtf aren't people to reason with, so fuck em.

Seems to me you are the one that needs to get stuff out of his system, but thanks for the stuffed animal. I'm not scared of the hurricane at all, it's not that big of a surprise if you rape nature on a daily bases, you might stumble on some consequenses. But the fact that the majority of victims are black and you get off on that, proudly claiming that they won't bother you anymore, makes me hope that you'll drink a little too much and die painfully of alcohol poisoning. And if I'm going to hell for thinking that, so be it, I don't believe in heaven, so I'm prettysure that it won't be that bad.
