Dark hole
NOT - "(The Internet) has created a dark hole, a dungeon if you will, for people who have mental illnesses or people who are lonely," U.S. District Judge Marsha Pechman said.
I've never thought of WWW this way. Right now you are in a dark hole.....huhuhu watch out for the dungeon! BTW: this judge has sentenced the 19 year old Jeffrey Lee Parson for making and releasing a variant of the Blaster worm which, of course, is a good thing (the sentence...) but I don't think that Miss Pechman hasn't spent much time on the internet.

Sorry, but totally disagree with the sentencing of Jeffrey. He is 19 years of age - read: hardly any (life) experience at all - yet he manages to TOTALLY fuck up MS systems... just imagine, that company is worth countless billions and is widely used at companies, yet a 19-year old manages to screw up the system software!
It's Bill Gates that should be put into jail for the delivery of such utter GARBAGE of a system! Including all those individuals at governments and companies that decided use MS windows!
Parson was more or less a scapegoat to make up for the failure of system admins and the US government. The blaster writer(s) still remains uncaught, while a mere tinkerer of the virus (there were several variations) was the only one caught.
The original thought of the sentance was going to be quite a bit more severe, but since the media has almost dropped his case, I notice now that the final sentance isn't as ridiculous.
And just for your information, Microsoft had the patch that fixed the blaster problem out really before it became a problem.
